“One in Four” people suffer with mental health issues within their lifetime. Within my own artistic practice I aim to create discussion about this topic.
Myself and Hayley Stokes designed and put together a series of workshops exploring mark-making techniques alongside coping strategies. Using concepts of “Mindfulness Painting,” cognitive defusion, gratitude, yoga and the acceptance tool.” Overall it was a great success!
The participants had several options to choose from, which ranged from working as an individual, to collaborative work. Within the next workshop we aim to deliver a structured session, combining different coping strategies to compare the feedback received and adjust accordingly.
